Manufacturer certifications aren't decorations — they're earned. They mean we've been trained, vetted, and authorized to install GAF and James Hardie products to spec. Without certification, the manufacturer's enhanced warranty doesn't apply, no matter who installs it. That's a real cost difference over the life of your roof or siding.
State registration and insurance protect you — they make sure if something goes wrong on the job (a worker injury, a property issue), you're not on the hook. NJ requires both for legitimate contractors. Always ask any contractor to show their HIC# and COI before signing.
